My Camera Gear History

First camera I purchased with my own money was a Nikon CoolPix 3100 bought in February, 2004; it got stolen in 2007.

Then, I used my "then" girlfriend's camera - which I still use today, well, my son is - SONY Cyber-shot DSC-P200.
UPDATE: yeah, camera broke after two days of kids using it...

When I was in buying-and-selling mode, I purchased a Canon Rebel K2 film camera on Craigslist for $20. Body only. I think it was a store display or something but still, in new condition. For some reason, I never got around to sell it, I wanted to, but even without a lens I liked it too much. And so, I kept it and I still have it and still looking for a good lens for it.
UPDATE: 2014 - gave it to my cousin.

Purchased a video camera in 2010 from Sam's Club, Sony Handycam DCR-SX63. Shooting in 720p, I want to sell it and get another one or get a lens or a battery for the D5100.

In early December 2012 I bought my Nikon D5100 after spending quite some time deciding which camera to get. I bought it from Sam's club as a package that came with two lenses and a carrying bag; an 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 G AF-S DX and 55-200mm 1:4-5.6 G ED AF-S DX. All for $750 after taxes. A great deal. F-mount.

Found an Olympus Infinity Stylus point and shoot film camera at Goodwill store. It has a 35mm 1:3.5 lens and takes 35mm film.
UPDATE: Best point-and-shoot film camera.

From the same store I got a Pentax ME Super with a 50mm 1:2 lens but unfortunately the mirror was locked and couldn't fix it. No problem. I purchased another camera from eBay with a 28mm 1:2.8 lens and an extra 70-210mm 1:4.5-5.6 that works and I will keep the first one for spare parts. This camera uses Pentax K-mount.

On eBay I purchased a ZENIT-E from Moscow Photo with manual and service manual for about $150. Came with a Helios 44-2 lens 50mm 1:2-16 and a selenium cell lightmeter. 42mm mount.

Found a Diana Half-frame and square 35mm lomography camera at the same Goodwill store for $25. Brand new, unused still in original package missing only the lens cap.

Purchased a Fujica COMPACT S for $5 from a garage sale. Fujinon 38mm lens 1:2.5-22. Missing the rewind button??? Can't use it.
